Chimney Service Technician

Best Chimney Services is seeking a dependable, professional, and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Chimney Service Technician. This position involves inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, and helping repair fireplaces, chimneys, and related venting systems.

Previous chimney experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, comfortable working at heights, and interested in learning a skilled trade.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect fireplaces, chimneys, furnace flues, and related venting systems.
• Perform visual and camera-assisted inspections to identify damage, deterioration, water intrusion, blockages, and potential safety concerns.
• Clearly explain inspection findings and recommended repairs to customers.
• Use company software to prepare repair quotes, document inspection findings, upload photographs, schedule follow-up work, and maintain accurate customer records.
• Respond professionally to customer questions regarding inspections, repairs, maintenance, and fireplace operation.
• Assemble, inspect, use, and dismantle scaffolding according to company safety procedures.
• Safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, and other job-related equipment.
• Assist experienced technicians with chimney repairs, masonry work, waterproofing, chimney caps, chase covers, liners, crowns, flashing, and fireplace installations.
• Protect customers’ homes and property by maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Load and unload materials, tools, scaffolding, and equipment.
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently while following company procedures and safety standards.
• Represent the company professionally at customers’ homes and job sites.

Position Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old for company vehicle insurance purposes.
• A clean driving record is required.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate company vehicles safely.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to report to work consistently.

Pay is hourly, a commison of sales after training will be added on each job employee sales and completes.
